You take handfuls of salt,
mix them into your wounds,
and laugh so that nobody else can
You don't have an answer
for the demons wrapping
their fingers around your neck
and whispering in a sickly sweet voice,
"Are you proud of who
you've become?"
Your ghosts have made a home
in the corner of your bedroom
and when you tell bedtime stories,
they sit around and listen, but sometimes,
when tears are streaked across your face
and you're languishing on the floor,
they just suck the life out of you
You take people,
turn them into your canvases,
bury them deep into your heart,
and let them rot until they create
another cavity that cannot be filled

The white she-cat leaped, the bird soar next to him. Another priceless smirk played her lips. Icewing came to land right next to the pan
